“I’m supporting Dan because he has the energy, focus, and brains to solve some of our nation’s greatest fiscal problems. Where too many elected officials from both parties appear to be running away from entitlement reform, Dan is running on entitlement reform. He got it done in Utah and, with the support of fellow conservative legislators across the country, he can get it done in Washington. Senator Hatch has touted his “experience” in this race. I believe the kind of experience he’s talking about can only take a person so far before it actually harms them and the state and people they should be representing. With his kind of experience comes a desire for power, and that’s exactly what’s happened to Senator Hatch. He was the right person for the job in 1976 and for much of his career after that. But he’s been in Washington for so long he has taken his eye off the ball and forgotten the reason he went back there in the first place. When Orrin Hatch is counting on endorsements he received when I was three years old, you know it’s time for a new generation of leaders in Washington. It’s time!”
